Renew your SIA licence
SIA licences last three years. To renew a door supervisor, security guard or close protection licence you complete a short refresher course first. Book it in good time so your licence does not lapse.

Do I need refresher training to renew my licence?
Yes. If you are renewing a door supervisor, security guard or close protection licence you need to complete refresher training before you apply.
Can I do part of the refresher online?
Yes. Part of the refresher can be completed as self study, which shortens the time you spend in the classroom. The practical parts are always done in person.
Do I need first aid for the door supervisor refresher?
Yes. You need a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate with at least 12 months left on it before the course starts.
