What people ask us first.
Which security licence should I get first?
For most people it is the Door Supervisor licence. It covers door work and also lets you work as a security guard, so you have the widest choice of jobs. If you only want site or retail work, the Security Officer course is shorter and cheaper.
How long does it take to get an SIA licence?
The course itself takes between 3 and 7 days depending on the licence. After you pass, you apply to the SIA online. The SIA usually decides within a few weeks, but it can take longer if your identity or background checks need more work.
How much does the SIA licence cost?
The SIA charges £204 for a licence, which lasts three years. This is paid directly to the SIA and is not included in our course fees.
